Who are Lions?
Lions are volunteers-part of the largest service organization in the
world, with over 1.3 million members worldwide. Lions are members of
their communities-sometimes leaders, sometimes business men and women,
sometimes mothers or grandfathers or young adults-but always caring
people, giving of their time and talents to make their cities and towns
better. The Lions of Southwestern Idaho and Eastern Oregon are no
different.
Our
projects are as varied as the area in which we live, from building
parks and wheelchair ramps, to assisting the blind and vision impaired,
to working with our youth. Our purpose is to serve, our reward is a
smile, a handshake, a job well done, a warm feeling in our hearts.
Forty-eight Lions
clubs are located in Southwestern Idaho and Eastern Oregon. The public is invited to attend club
meetings, help out with service projects, and join in the fun of serving the community.
For information about joining a Lions club,
contact the Lions of District 39W.
