Lions Committee of the Month and Lion of the month,
For anyone that wants to nominate someone or a committee contact DG D'Orazio. Each club should nominate one person and send it to Lion Gary D.
Jackpot 8 meeting and the Bench Lions are taking the project back. Lion Ken Marchetti will be the Jackpot 9 chairman.
Need players, sponsors and hole sponsors.
Our Youth Our Future. We need high profile stuff. Peace poster, patriotism contest, white cane day. Make a difference day. We need to do these high profile projects to be in the community.
Veterans Day parade. Jack Benson is the chair. See Jack for more details. Lions will be able to participate with the Veterans. We need to get the MSU here to be in the parade. There will be a Lions float as well. Look for article in Paw Prints.
Lion John Wojahn- Do a peace poster kit. New workshop for quest on Oct. 6-7 looking for other school districts. Looking for schools to have more Leos clubs. There are awards to give Leos and we need to look in to that. Look in to a Leos club at the Job Corp.
Leos club directories and programs need to be listed in the directories.
Youth needs to be what we push; we also need to give our time as well as our money. We need to continue to grow in this area.
We need to do some state to state exchanges as well as foreign exchanges.
Need a budget for youth exchange. Need to do a video of the youth and their activities. Laura would like information on activities and photos on all exchanges. Southwest has donated 2 more round trip tickets for this year.
Good job Lion John Wojahn on getting the money for Quest. It has really been good for the teachers and students in our area.
Leader dog-we would like to have 100% participation in 39w last year it was very small. We will be forthcoming with new goals. Co-Chairs are the Marchettis.
Public relations grant- Lion Gene Kelly is working on that
District Governors contest- will be sent out this week
Points will be given for 2 different sizes of clubs and we will have it all taken care of by Lion Ray Hanson
Directory is going to the publisher on Monday.
56 rooms will be reserved at the Holiday Inn, McCall, Idaho for the mid winter convention on February 25th and 26th. Friday will be hors d’oeuvre contest. Saturday will be activities Saturday night will be a roast for Lion Floyd Miller. Card games and other games will be taken care of.
$80 is the room fee.
Budget of the year. Preliminary discussion of raising dues- dues have not been raised in 11 years, it is too hard to continue to do what we need to on the same amount of money that we were using 11 years ago.
Please pass on this information to all your clubs and those you visit with.
The Multiple District convention is scheduled for May 21-23,2005 in Sun Valley. The cabinet supports Council Chair Bob Storm in getting Sun Valley for the next few years. Each club can do a ways and means project to send their members.
Adjournment.
Thanks to Deana Rostock for taking notes in my absence.
Respectfully,
Curt Kelley
Secretary

Community Service Award
The Zone Chairs should be thinking about doing a Lions Community Service Award in their respective areas. Perhaps two Zones could work together, depending on geography. The Community Service Award committee developed a procedure which can be followed, and improved on, please contact Curt Kelley for a copy, which can be e-mailed. curtkelley@mindspring.com phone 208 859 3642.
