Lion Darrell Hatfield noted that unless the current Leos are approached about continuing with Lions after they graduate from high school, we are missing out on new members. Lion John Walls recommended BSU alumni should get involved with the Leos and encourage them to form a campus club. In addition, the alumni should volunteer to provide a tour of the college they intend to attend, to give them an idea of what to look forward to in college. Lion Dottie Hamon noted there is a professor at NNU wanting to start a campus club.
Lions Jack and Mitzu Ogami, LCIF: Lion Jack presented a list of all the clubs who donated to LCIF. He read the names aloud to the cabinet. Those included were:

He also noted there is a great opportunity to get a club going in New Meadows. He needs help getting them started. He said for the most part the rest of the clubs in his zone are doing well. He is discouraged by the clubs who don’t make any effort to report their club’s activities. He mentioned smaller clubs would fold if there were an increase in dues. They also cannot afford the eye screening machines. Lion John Walls and VDG Bob Flowers noted the Sight & Hearing Foundation has machines available on loan to clubs without machines. Lion Loren Honstead added the Vallivue and Caldwell School Districts have machines available to loan out.
