GENERAL SESSION

39W Mid-Winter Convention

February 11, 2006

Holiday Inn, Ontario, OR

The meeting was called to order by Master of Ceremonies, Lion Guy Cockerum of the Payette Lions Club. 

Leo Damian Reynolds lead in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Lion Shirley Hazen delivered the Invocation. 

PID Floyd Miller lead in the Lion’s song, ID Gary Tschache and his wife, Candy lead in the Montana song, and Chef John Tyler sang the Hawaiian anthem.

District Governor Deanna Rostock was then given the podium.  After her address to the membership, she then opened the floor to nominations.

Parma Lion President Dr. Roger Reynoldson nominated VDG Bob Flowers as District Governor Elect for 39W.  Lion Yoko Takatori seconded the motion.  Lion Crusty Hamon moved the nominations pass as a unanimous ballot, PDG Gary D’Orazio seconded the motion.  The motion passed.

Lion Jan Hatfield nominated Lion Darrell Hatfield for Vice District Governor, and Parma Lion President Dr. Roger Reynoldson seconded the motion.

PID Floyd Miller then nominated DG Deanna Rostock for Council Chair, and Boise Vista Lion Jerry Lawson seconded the motion.

These nominations will be carried on to the MD Annual Convention at Sun Valley on May 19-20, 2006.
