LIONS MISSION OF VISION TO ECUADOR The Mountain Home Lions Club presented Lion Jeffery Gibbons and Lion Nathan Price with a check for $2,500.00 today. This money will aid them with their expenses for their upcoming trip to Quito, Ecuador. Their mission is to examine eyes and provide corrective lenses glasses to the people in and around Quito. The Lions are providing 1500 pairs of donated glasses Idaho and Indiana; the expenses to and from Ecuador are being incurred by the eight person vision team: (2) Doctors (Lions Jeff and Nate, (3) Ophthalmic Techs ( from their office, (2) Teenage Volunteers (Dr Gibbons twin boys), (1) Volunteer from Boise-Lion Paula Heath. They will depart on 22 September 2007 and return on 30 September 2007. This is the second trip down to Ecuador for Lions Jeff and Nate and their team. They presented a program at the Sun Valley Convention this year, showing the highlights of their trip. After the meeting an additional check for $500.00 was given to them from Lion Richard Cox and the Cox Auto Body Shop in Mountain Home. |
