Midvale Lions Club News

The Midvale Lions held their 5th annual "Make a Difference Day" Health Fair in October.  This is such an important event because for the residents of Midvale, a doctor's visit is at least 30 miles away.  The Lions administered 62 flu shots, 20 cholesterol screenings, 25 mammograms, and checked blood pressure for 40 people.  The event was made possible through the cooperative efforts of the Lions, St. Alphonsus, Weiser Memorial Hospital, the Idaho Lions Eye Bank and the Midvale Library.  In addition, Wal-Mart provided grant funds to help pay for the flu shots.  The project was coordinated by Lion Jerry McLay and his efforts are deeply appreciated.
