The Meridian Lions Have a Heart. Meridian Lions Help the American Heart Association of Idaho. For the 3rd year Meridian Lions, Lions family and the Meridian Lions Rodeo Queens helped at the American Heart Association February Gala and fund raiser. Lions Doug and Stevie Beehler participate in and support the Communications and Publicity division of the American Heart Association. Lion Nachele Roberts is in charge of the hostesses and volunteer help at the Ball. Nachele’s daughter Quincy Roberts and her friend helped sign up attendees for photos. Scharlee Roberts (last years Lion Rodeo Queen) along with Amanda Butler and Page Bolinski (this years Rodeo Queens) were on hand to help as well. The ladies escorted attendees to their seats, sold chocolate truffles to raffle a star sapphire necklace, and helped with showing auction items. Dignitaries in attendance included Governor Kempthorne, Senator John Andreason, & Chairperson Sandra Bruce – President and CEO of Saint Alphonsus, as well as, many owners and CEO’s of our community businesses! The Heartbeat of Broadway Gala was a huge success and the Meridian Lions are proud to show they have a heart and enjoy supporting the American Heart Association and the fight against heart disease.
